Vancouver is a city of immigrants and so am I. A 30-something freelance writer with an urge to explore, I arrived here from the UK in November 2008 with my family (my partner, two children and a cat). I find the city fascinating and full of contrasts, both in its people and in the surroundings. ‘Everybody’ wants to live here – and the resulting cultural mixing pot leads to both diversity and confusion.
